Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive Senior Liaison, Strategic Policy to join our team in the Strategic Policy Department. This role is vital for advancing the company's objectives by developing and maintaining strong, effective relationships with key government stakeholders at international, national, and state levels. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance, managing high-level correspondence, and driving company-aligned initiatives.

Job Description

  • Execute government engagement strategies and plans that align with the company's goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key government stakeholders through effective communication and engagement programmes at international, national, and state levels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of government engagement strategies and tactics.
  • Plan and coordinate events, workshops, and conferences involving government officials and other stakeholders when required.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant policy and regulatory developments, and provide timely and insightful analysis to company leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Serve as the point of contact for government-related enquiries and manage correspondence with government stakeholders, including drafting letters, emails, and other communications, ensuring timely and appropriate responses to all enquiries or requests.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with company policies and regulatory requirements, and maintain accurate records of all interactions with government officials and agencies.
  • Guide employees on government protocols and compliance requirements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Public Relations, Public Administration, or related disciplines.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in policy-related roles, stakeholder engagement, and project management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in Bahasa Melayu and English, with the ability to draft high-quality correspondence, support negotiations, and manage complex discussions with guidance from senior stakeholders.
  • Good stakeholder management capabilities, including the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with government and industry stakeholders to support organisational objectives.
  • Sound understanding of government processes, policies, and regulatory frameworks, with the ability to stay up to date, interpret requirements, and support compliance efforts.
  • Ability to manage and align diverse stakeholder expectations, including government officials, policymakers, and internal departments, to support effective implementation of initiatives.
  • Demonstrated project management experience, including coordinating cross-functional teams, monitoring scope and timelines, and supporting budget tracking in alignment with organisational goals.
  • Agile and proactive, with the ability to respond to evolving government requirements and deliver outputs within tight timelines.
