Air Liquide Global Export Materials (ALGEM) is the Global Gas Sourcing and Supply Chain Platform of Air Liquide Group for electronic specialty materials and Industrial Merchant materials in APAC, managing more than 1,800 shipments a year, for all Air Liquide Affiliates in the world.
Based in Kuala Lumpur with antennas in all APAC operating affiliates, ALGEM manages International Supply Chains including supply planning, logistics design & execution for globally and regionally traded materials.
In line with its long-term development plan, ALGEM scope will continue to expand involving management of more complex supply chains, with more products and new logistics routes, as well as bringing a step change in our supply chain with a particular need to develop its presence in APAC.To support this development, ALGEM needs to have a strong team for design Supply Chains, set Operations Standards & manage Logistics operations as well as supporting affiliates to grow new businesses.
Reporting to the SCM Inland EAP manager, the Logistics Coordinator_Inland is in charge of adminstrating shipping transactions inland (recieving port to facility & idem for returns) for Air Liquide Malaysia, Brunox, and SIG.
To that extent, the ALGEM Logistics Coordinator of Inland EAP is responsible for:
(i) Organizing shipments with International team and dispatch package (empty and full), in accordance with hosted Affiliates needs ensuring continuity of supply, at optimized cost
(ii) Monitoring actual shipping and tracking of ongoing shipments. If any issues happen, need to notify stakeholders.
(iii) Coordinating with local operations teams & KL (central) based logistics coordinators for shipment handover at the receiving port to facility.
(iv) Preparing all related documentations, permits for import/export and issuing invoices timely and accurately to dedicated affiliates.
(v) Ensuring timely and accurate communication to hosted affiliates regarding Shipment organisation (planning, documentation, operations hazards ... etc)
(vi) Supporting ad-hoc supply chain improvements projects & local business needs.
She/He also should be able to communicate with cross functional team such as planners, asset managers, procurement, warehouse, commercial team and HSE within ALGEM organization to achieve ALGEM goal such as Safety, Quality, Reliability and Efficiency target.
The Logistics Coordinator_inland is responsible for shipments moving from port to facility and returns (ie. all logistics coordination inland of affiliate)
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
Import and Export Operations
- Monitor the status of her/his shipments through the ALGEM tools (MyGas, Order Tracking File, Marine Traffic, etc.) on a daily basis
- Organize shipments (empty and full), in accordance with Affiliates request ensuring continuity of supply in a efficient way (inland portion)
- MRP tools
- Proactively alert/report delay shipments through ALGEM tools (Delay report follow up)
- Manage all incoming/outgoing customs operations and declarations including communication with Customs of Malaysia.
Documentation
- Ensure customs clearance of all imported goods and proper administration process until the final acceptance of goods/services
- Provide timely and accurately all relevant and needed shipping documentations to AL Malaysia, SIG, and Brunox (BL, (e)COA, Invoice ... etc)
- Preparing and managing shipping documents, including invoices, delivery notes, permits and packing lists.
- Ensure Timely update of the Order Tracking file for the related shipments and scope
- Work closely with KL based log coordinators & suppliers to ensure all pre-requisite for shipments are well organized for receipt.
Compliance and continuous improvement
- Cross functional work with logistics & planning, procurement, warehouse, commercial team and HSE within ALGEM organization to achieve ALGEM goal such as Safety, Quality, Reliability and Efficiency target.
- Comply with International Transport of dangerous goods regulation (Road and Sea freight Transportation for Dangerous Goods)
- Identify the Logistics dysfunctions (lead time, cost, quality, packing) and suggest actions to improve the situations.
- Cost-oriented, track monthly efficiency with the supervisor and improve the saving.
Are you a MATCH
Extensive Experience in supply chain, order taking, logistics arrangement within the Chemical/Industrial Gas industry with a customer facing role. Knowledge of import/export of Malaysia and domestic delivery between East MY and West MY.
Experience in dealing with Dangerous Goods cargoes with freight forwarders and Malaysian government.
Good communication in English and Malay, very organized, rigorous, reliable, independent, transparent and diligent.
