Senior Manager, Actuarial Audit (KL-based) - Premier Insurer

Our client is a premier insurer with established presence in the region. It is currently seeking to appoint a high-calibre professional as Senior Manager, Actuarial Audit in Kuala Lumpur.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading and supporting the planning and execution of actuarial audits within the life insurance domain. This includes reviewing actuarial models, assumptions, valuation methodologies and reserving practices to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. You will evaluate the effectiveness of actuarial risk controls and governance frameworks, identifying areas for enhancement to strengthen actuarial accuracy and financial reporting integrity. The role requires close collaboration with actuarial teams, finance, risk and compliance functions. You will prepare clear, comprehensive audit reports and communicate findings to senior management and relevant stakeholders.

Requirements

You have strong academic qualifications, preferably in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or a related discipline. You possess at least 7 years of relevant experience in actuarial audit, actuarial functions or actuarial consulting within the life insurance industry. A solid understanding of actuarial valuation techniques, risk management, IFRS 17, Solvency II or equivalent insurance regulatory frameworks is essential. You are analytical, detail-oriented and able to engage effectively with technical teams and senior stakeholders. Experience with audit tools and data analytics is advantageous. Professional actuarial qualifications (e.g., FSA, FIA, ACAS) will be an added advantage.
