Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the team to provide overall strategic support to distribution channels nationwide in collaboration with Head of Market Development Office and Motor Franchise (MFD) respectively.
  • Assist distribution heads in formulating strategies and implement department strategies in line with the direction of the company, including risk appetite, compliance, and growth of GWP & UWP.
  • Execute end-to-end department strategies, campaigns, initiatives, projects by engaging own teams, internal / external stakeholders.
  • Manage overall contracts and agreements within MFD department, including Roadside Agreement and Yearly Motor Panelship Agreement
  • Attend and provide overall support to MFD Brand Manager on Franchise holders requirement, new brand tender process to solicit for new Brand.
  • Prepare communication material with Branding on Corporate Profile/Publicity Posting/Flyers/Presentation slide etc.
  • Act as Product driver to collaborate with Brand Manager and Underwriting Department in analyzing industry premium benchmarks, ensuring our pricing remains competitive and aligned with market expectations.
  • Regular analysis and review of business portfolio including taking necessary actions to ensure profitability of relevant line of business.
  • Prepare management reports as required including Performance Presentation deck, Budget Planning, Budget calendarisation & Business Review etc.
  • Act as internal audit, risk, and compliance representative to ensure necessary controls are in place, perform regular monitoring and provide guidance to own team and marketing officers on latest and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Accountable for all management & regulatory reporting and act as the liaison with other department, section, or units, if necessary.
  • Continuously look for improvement (process, systems, value added services) and propose new ways of doing things for greater productivity and efficiency.
  • Undertake and complete other duties and special project as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum ten (10) years of working experiences in relevant insurance industry is preferred, with at least 5 years in a managerial position
  • Degree in any discipline or/and professional certifications in insurance.
  • Required knowledge in Motor Franchise Holders & Car Dealers business.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power point and Access skills are required.
  • Able to perform system testing with development of test scripts for different scenarios.
  • Strong creative thinking and ability to create the right outcomes to support business.
  • Self-motivated and continuously strive for improvement and enhancement.
  • Effective communication in writing, business presentation and interpersonal communication across various levels of seniority.
