SENIOR MANAGER APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT (IT)

• Assist the Head of Department in setting direction, priorities and reporting activities for the Application Development section.
• Oversee operations and maintenance of all application systems, including troubleshooting, backups, archiving and user support.
• Prepare and manage the section's business plan and budget, ensuring cost effectiveness and compliance.
• Manage development, change control processes and support of application systems (including intranet, SharePoint, web applications and databases).
• Lead innovation and improvement initiatives to enhance business efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Ensure proper management of information, data and records in adherence to security, confidentiality and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain an up to date business system continuity plan and ensure backup and recovery procedures are effective.
• Establish and maintain IT standards, SOPs and plans for current and future technology needs.
• Manage internal client relationships, ensuring excellent communication, satisfaction, and service delivery.
• Oversee vendor management, including system purchases, licensing and maintenance agreements.
• Lead and develop the Application Development team, ensuring performance, growth, and alignment with company goals.
• Manage the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, implementation and post-support.
• Manage and ensure the integrity of application servers and databases.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field from a recognized University.
• Minimum 10 years of working experience, with at least 3 years managing IT projects.
• Possess relevant technical knowledge with good supervisory and decision making skills.
• Good command of both written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Good interpersonal skills and personality.
