Summary
The ideal candidate for this position will take the lead in driving initiatives to generate and engage with business partners, fostering new opportunities for the company. They will strategically plan their approach to clients, presenting compelling solutions tailored to meet their specific needs. Additionally, they will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships to achieve sales targets and support business growth.
Responsibilities
- Developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets
- Identifying and reporting on business opportunities in target markets
- Taking responsibilities for profit and loss
- Increasing market share in existing markets and maximize new business development opportunities
- Achieving targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth
- Develop and maintain strong existing customer relation and loyalty
- Respond to customer enquiries / complaints
- Lead in engagements and strategic customer interface with key Corporate Customers Senior Management Team
- Provide marketing and sales advice / information to management team to facilitate business review & evaluation
- Support BD department to fine tune strategic directive
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years of Business Development experience in 3PL / Contract Logistics, including proposal design, costing, and commercial awareness
- Knowledge and experience in managing a logistics operation
- Excellent presentation skills and people management skills
