Role Overview

We're seeking a hands-on content strategist and creator to serve as our Senior Manager/Assoc Director of Content Strategy & Operations. This role balances strategic content planning and creation with building operational frameworks that enable content excellence across the organization. You'll be both a skilled practitioner who creates high-quality B2B content and a strategic thinker who can audit existing content libraries, develop refresh strategies, and leverage AI to maximize content performance and discoverability.

The ideal candidate brings 8+ years of B2B content experience with deep expertise in content strategy, creation, atomization, and AI-powered content optimization. You're equally comfortable writing a thought leadership piece as you are developing a content governance framework or using LLMs to repurpose three-year-old assets for modern channels.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Strategy (50%)

  • Create high-quality content including thought leadership pieces, whitepapers, case studies, blog posts, and campaign assets
  • Develop compelling messaging for external communications, corporate communications, and marketing initiatives
  • Write and optimize content for account-based experience (ABX) programs and sales enablement
  • Support M&A integration content and communications planning
  • Craft executive communications and strategic messaging as needed
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand positioning and messaging frameworks

Content Strategy & Planning

  • Develop comprehensive content strategies that map to buyer journeys and business objectives
  • Conduct content audits to assess existing content inventory and identify gaps
  • Create content refresh and repurposing strategies using AI to modernize legacy assets
  • Build content atomization frameworks that maximize asset value across channels
  • Develop editorial calendars and content roadmaps aligned with business priorities
  • Make strategic recommendations on content investment and prioritization

AI-Powered Content Operations

  • Leverage LLMs and generative AI tools to enhance content creation, optimization, and repurposing
  • Develop AI-enabled workflows that improve content productivity and effectiveness
  • Create strategies to make content more findable across diverse channels using AI
  • Build frameworks for responsible AI use in content creation that maintain brand quality

Content Center of Excellence Development

  • Establish content governance policies, standards, and best practices
  • Develop content taxonomies and organizational systems for improved discoverability
  • Create content performance measurement frameworks and dashboards
  • Implement content lifecycle management processes from creation to retirement
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration for content planning and execution
  • Build scalable processes that enable rapid content production without sacrificing quality

Operational Leadership

  • Manage content writers and contractors, ensure quality and consistency
  • Conduct periodic content audits across web properties and content repositories
  • Partner with performance marketing teams, and product marketing teams on integrated content initiatives
  • Develop content briefs and creative direction for internal teams and external partners
  • Track and analyze content performance, providing insights and optimization recommendations

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of B2B content experience with demonstrated expertise in both strategy and hands-on creation
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with portfolio showcasing diverse B2B content types
  • Proven experience developing content strategies and operational frameworks
  • Deep proficiency with AI and LLMs for content creation, optimization, and repurposing
  • Strong understanding of content atomization and multi-channel content distribution
  • Experience conducting content audits and developing content governance frameworks
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to manage multiple content initiatives
  • Experience in technology, SaaS, or professional services industries
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in PE-backed or high-growth environments
  • Background supporting M&A integration communications
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content optimization
  • Experience with content management systems and marketing automation platforms
  • Understanding of account-based marketing content requirements
  • Track record building content operations from the ground up
  • Experience managing content teams or contractors
