Our client, a fast-growing, tech-savvy F&B retail brand in Malaysia, is expanding across Southeast Asia and looking for a Senior Manager, Facilities Management to streamline their journey! The role is responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of facilities within a fast-paced F&B environment. This leadership role requires strategic planning, operational oversight, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and cross-departmental collaboration to ensure a safe, efficient, and customer-friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Operations & Maintenance
- Manage daily operations of FOH & BOH areas.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs for critical systems (HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, kitchen equipment).
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Oversee vendor performance and negotiate service contracts.
- Ensure timely delivery of quality services for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
Health & Safety Compliance
- Enforce compliance with food safety, health codes, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and lead safety training programs.
Facility Design & Space Planning
- Collaborate with leadership to optimize space for efficiency and brand alignment.
- Manage renovation and fit-out projects, ensuring cost, quality, and time targets are met.
Equipment Management
- Ensure operational equipment is serviced, safe, and efficient.
- Maintain accurate inventory and recommend upgrades as needed.
Budget & Cost Management
- Develop and control budgets related to maintenance, utilities, and capex.
- Identify cost-saving measures and drive sustainability initiatives.
Sustainability & ESG Initiatives
- Lead energy, water, and waste reduction strategies.
- Promote eco-friendly practices and pursue green certifications (LEED certification is a plus).
Emergency & Crisis Management
- Maintain emergency response plans and safety infrastructure.
- Conduct drills and liaise with local authorities.
Customer Experience & Staff Support
- Ensure a clean, functional, and welcoming environment for customers and employees.
- Support staff with space planning, logistics, and equipment needs.
Requirements
- Minimum 710 years experience in related field, including at least 3 years in a leadership/senior management role.
- Proven track record in strategic planning and leading new facility-related initiatives.
- Able to manage large teams across multiple locations independently.
- Strong project management, vendor negotiation, and compliance knowledge.
- High-level thinking with ability to align facility planning to overall business strategy.
Preferred
- Experience in fast-growing businesses, ideally with MNC exposure.
- Background in the F&B industry is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Lark or similar collaborative platforms.
- LEED certification and ESG knowledge are strong assets.
