Job Description

ROLE OVERVIEW

We're looking for a contract Senior Manager to lead financial planning, reporting, audits, governance, and team development to optimize performance, ensure compliance, and drive strategic improvement across the group.

Note: This is a one-year contract position based in Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, and requires on-site work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for a comprehensive set of controllership activities including financial control, financial planning, financial reporting, financial analysis and cash flow for the group.
  • Ensure effective month-end close processes are in place.
  • Oversee and enhancing the management reporting process for the Group as guided and lead by SVP Finance.
  • Support SVP Finance with day-to-day finance activities as assigned.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify opportunities for financial improvement and cost optimization.
  • Review the AHSEA annual budget and periodic rolling forecast.
  • Review the consolidated results and analyze financial and operational results against budget, forecasts and last year. Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) against targets.
  • Manage annual audits collaboration with external parties.
  • Establish and maintain internal process, procedures and controls which ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting and forecasts.
  • Provide guidance on accounting matters to the Finance team.
  • Motivate and mentor the finance team and ensure that all are regularly trained and updated on the group's financial and reporting policies.
  • Provide financial governance and guidance to ensure correct accounting processes & procedures are followed. Partner with external accounting team to deliver the comprehensive local statutory accounting statements.

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline is required.
  • Professional certifications like CPA, ACCA, CFA, or CIMA are highly advantageous.

Work Experience

  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years experience in finance, accounting, or similar fields, with at least 3 to 5 years spent in a managerial or leadership position.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and managing cash flow.
  • Experience working in both Malaysia and Indonesia, with comprehensive knowledge of local financial regulations, taxation laws, and compliance standards.
  • Open to candidates from Malaysia and Indonesia.

Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • In-depth understanding of financial regulations, accounting practices, and tax legislation.
  • Proficiency in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), cost control measures, and managing financial risks.
  • Practical experience with financial systems, ERP tools, and advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong grasp of internal controls, compliance protocols, and financial governance practices.
