As we continue to grow across Asia, our Malaysia office is seeking a seasoned finance leader to join us as:

Senior Manager / Finance Director, Finance & Administration, Asia

Role Overview

This is a regional leadership role responsible for overseeing finance, accounting, taxation, and administration (IT, HR & Legal) across multiple Asian markets, including Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and Japan. The role requires strong technical depth, regional exposure, and the ability to operate with agility in a fast-paced, professional services environment.

Reporting Relationship

The Senior Manager / Finance Director, Asia reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer, Asia, based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

Regional Finance & Accounting

  • Manage full sets of accounts for assigned countries and oversee Group consolidation
  • Prepare, review, and analyse monthly financial and management reports
  • Oversee credit control, invoicing, billing, and cash management
  • Manage banking, funding, and cash flow forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements across jurisdictions
  • Handle intercompany transactions and cross-border taxation
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and government authorities

Partner & Vendor Management

  • Manage partners payables, including monthly payments to partners in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia
  • Oversee outsourced accounting services, particularly in China and Japan

Corporate & Statutory Matters

  • Manage statutory company affairs including incorporations, licenses, renewals, and regulatory filings
  • Review business and commercial contracts
  • Draft and review employment contracts

Finance Administration & Payroll

  • Oversee payroll, claims, statutory contributions, insurance, and employee-related payments
  • Develop, implement, and periodically review finance, payroll, and administrative policies and procedures
  • Support operational efficiency with lean resources, including two direct reports and outsourced partners

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with ACCA or CPA qualification
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant finance experience
  • Prior experience in a professional services or consulting environment is highly preferred
  • Strong hands-on experience managing multi-country accounting (Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Japan)
  • Proven experience in group consolidation and intercompany taxation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and growth-oriented environment
  • High level of efficiency, effectiveness, and attention to detail
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritisation skills
  • Comfortable working with lean teams and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Agile, versatile, adaptable, and solutions-oriented leadership style

Remuneration

Base Salary: RM15,000 – RM20,000 per month (commensurate with experience)
