Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Financial Reporting plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting across multiple entities in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and China. This role provides end-to-end oversight of financial reporting, month-end close, audits, taxation, and due diligence activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, review, and analysis of consolidated and entity-level financial statements, disclosures, and notes in full compliance with IFRS.
- Ensure financial reports are accurate, complete, and delivered within reporting timelines.
- Oversee the end-to-end month-end closing process across multiple entities.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and closing adjustments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with IFRS and internal policies.
- Perform periodic reviews of financial transactions and accounting treatments to ensure appropriate application of accounting standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify, investigate, and resolve accounting issues and discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Identify and drive process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control within the financial reporting function.
- Work closely with finance, legal, tax, and operations teams to ensure consistent and accurate application of accounting standards
- Lead internal and external audit engagements, ensuring timely preparation and submission of audit schedules and statutory deliverables.
- Manage, coach, and mentor team members, supporting both technical excellence and career development.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master's degree or professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on financial reporting
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS and hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements.
- Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems such as Oracle NetSuite is a plus.
