The opportunity
We are seeking for an accomplished Senior Manager (Finance Shared Services) who is agile, client-focused, with extensive experience in finance and accounting, and a proven track record in managing shared service operations, driving process improvements, and exhibiting strong leadership capabilities.
Your key responsibilities
- Responsible for delivery of the accounting services for each market.
- Single point of contact for the market on escalations and services being delivered by the SSC.
- Ensure day-to-day operations of SSC to meet the agreed KPIs and SLAs.
- Monitor and ensure that the financial control and governance including efficient accounting procedures are in place and in compliance to accounting standards
- Ensure the team delivers timely reporting of financial results internally and externally, managing external audit, credit and overall financial risk and controls for the specific market(s).
- Facilitate comprehensive monthly business reviews with clients to assess overall business performance. This includes analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement, and discussing service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure alignment with client expectations. Additionally, provide a platform for clients to express their needs and support requirements, fostering a collaborative environment for continuous improvement.
- Oversee all aspects of staff management, including conducting interviews, manpower planning, and performance reviews. Implement coaching and counseling sessions to support employee development and address any performance-related issues. Manage disciplinary actions when necessary, ensuring adherence to company policies and fostering a positive work environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.

- Compliance and Controls: In-depth knowledge of accounting policies, tax requirements, and group reporting standards, with expertise in designing and maintaining effective process controls to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
To qualify for the role, you must have
- Ability to manage multiple market such as Singapore, China, Taiwan and Korea
- Knowledge in SAP finance module.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Experience in change and transformation projects, including process reengineering, technology implementations, and cultural change initiatives
- Proficiency in the local language (reading, writing, and speaking) is an added advantage, as you will oversee and support China market.
What we look for
- Minimum qualifications of bachelor's degree in finance accounting, qualified accountant or equivalent (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
- Minimum 5 years experience of managing teams/ managing operations in shared services.
- 10 years experience of finance accounting experience in finance shared service.
