We are seeking a dynamic Senior Manager/Head of Interior Design & Fit-Out Services (DFS) to lead and oversee all design and tenant fit-out activities across Sunway Malls Selangor. This role ensures design excellence, compliance with standards, and timely delivery of store openings while enhancing overall mall aesthetics and customer experience. You will lead a team, manage key stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement in retail space design and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and govern all Design & Fit-Out (DFS) activities across Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Giza Mall, and Sunway Square Mall, ensuring compliance with SOPs, corporate standards, and ISO requirements
- Develop, review, and enhance fit-out guidelines and processes, ensuring full tenant compliance throughout the fit-out lifecycle
- Drive tenant fit-out execution, ensuring timely design approvals, coordination, and on-schedule shop openings
- Provide strategic design leadership by monitoring retail trends and enhancing mall common areas and customer spaces
- Lead, coach, and develop the DFS team, ensuring strong performance, capability building, and effective team management
- Manage key stakeholder relationships with tenants, consultants, contractors, and internal departments to ensure smooth execution
- Oversee mall enhancement, refurbishment, and expansion projects, providing design input and consultation support
- Drive continuous improvement by resolving operational and design issues in a cost-effective and timely manner
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or Professional qualification in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field
- Minimum of 8–10 years experience in Design & Fit-Out, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong experience in mall design management, tenant fit-out planning, and retail space optimisation
- Solid knowledge of design compliance, interior architecture, project coordination, and stakeholder management
- Strong awareness of current retail and commercial design trends
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders including tenants, consultants, and internal teams
