To define, develop and implement effective business development strategies in order to achieve the Company's sales, market share, growth and other strategic objectives.
To conduct market research to gain insight into industry, market needs, opportunities, competitors activities and local regulatory requirements.
To manage a team of business development staff to ensure effective execution of business development plans and alignment of performance with the plans.
To ensure competency of business development staff by upgrading their skills, knowledge and attitudes.
To regularly review and analyse the Company's marketing environment to ensure that marketing plans are still relevant to the Company's long term objectives. To take corrective action where necessary.
To develop, review and achieve a region business development and pricing strategy with monthly and annual sales goals.
To regularly report to the General Manager / Deputy General Manager on progress of sales performance.
To keep abreast with the current and emerging trends, issues and developments in the surgical glove market including competitors activities in the region and assess impact on the Company. More importantly, to provide feedback to General Manager / Deputy General Manager and Chief Business Officer on customers needs so as to drive the direction of R&D projects.
To ensure all business development staff follow operating procedures.
To build and maintain excellent relationships with existing and potential customers.
To participate actively in events which will help market the Company's products and enhance its image.
To develop innovative ways to sell the Company's product.
To carry out performance reviews on his / her direct reports and team members.
Responsible for the profit and loss (price, margin and expenses) on the assigned region.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor Degree in Marketing from a recognised institution.
Minimum 10 years of working experience with 5 years in a managerial post, preferably in health care products sector.
Experience of managing at least 2 direct reports at Manager / Assistant Manager Sales level.
Competitive landscape of assigned territory (competitors positioning, strategies and differentiators).
Current and future global socio economic, business and industry trends, market drivers of assigned territory and their impacts on Hartalega's business.
