One of the world's leading insurance companies is looking for a Senior Manager/ Manager, Finance in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. They are seeking an experienced finance professional to join their finance team with a strong focus on insurance finance reporting and finance operation. Big 4 candidates with a solid insurance audit background are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the team's reporting, analysis, and data validation by assisting in the preparation of management reports, variance analyses, and presentation slides for business review meetings
- Contribute to insurance-specific reporting requirements, including preparation and validation of regulatory returns, statutory reporting, and management information packs for insurance operations
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of reporting processes, templates, and dashboards
- Support timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc reports to senior management and Group stakeholders
- Lead day-to-day Finance Operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and timely payment processing
- Manage Treasury Operations activities such as cash positioning, liquidity management, and payment execution while maintaining compliance with internal governance standards
- Support the implementation and optimisation of finance systems (including Oracle and Coupa), working closely with vendors to ensure smooth phase-in and knowledge transfer
- Establish, maintain, and continuously improve governance frameworks, internal controls, reconciliations, and compliance processes
Key Requirements:
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in finance operations or finance reporting or insurance audit, ideally within insurance
- Strong background in managing finance and treasury processes together with insurance reporting in a regulated environment
- Big 4 insurance audit experience is highly valued and encouraged
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Hands-on experience with finance systems such as Oracle, Coupa, or similar platforms is highly advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and fluency in spoken and written English
