Job Description

Summary:

To work within the realm of developing and managing product. The responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • End to End Product Development: End to end from new product ideation (documenting the Business Requirements Specification document), process flow mapping with stakeholders (interpreting the Statement of Work), budgeting, product approvals, testing and documentation to finally the launch of new product.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Prepare and share regular reports and insights in relation to the product and portfolio while working closely with consumer proposition and consumer marketing teams in campaigns, collaterals and advertorials with the objective of driving the portfolio growth and success of the deposit product.
  • Payroll Business Growth : Collaborate with the Corporate/Commercial team to grow employer led payroll business and increase staff salary crediting into MBSB Bank accounts.
  • Debit Card Process Enhancement & Activation Growth: Work on improving the end-to-end debit card issuance and activation process to enhance efficiency and customer experience. Collaborate with internal teams (Technology, Risk & Compliance, and Operations) and external partners (payment, network, vendors) to drive enhancement in debit card offerings.
  • Post-Launch Performance & Optimization: The manager is entrusted with ensuring consistency in the deliverables and quality of the product in meeting customers needs while driving product profitability. A key focus is on continuous improvement—enhancing processes, streamlining the customer journey, and optimizing UI/UX to elevate the overall user experience and product performance.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Adherence: Responsible for ensuring product governance with all banking laws & regulations and compliance requirements related to deposit products.
  • Compliance & Risk related items: Manage compliance & risk within the Product team. Drive process improvements, support product rollouts, and monitor regulatory and operational risks. Risk Management: To identify and assess risks associated with deposits operation and implement necessary controls to mitigate the risk.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with Consumer Proposition and Consumer Marketing teams to develop campaigns, marketing collaterals, and advertorials aimed at driving portfolio growth and product success.
  • Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Staying ahead of market trends, customer behaviour, and regulatory changes to enhance product offerings and maintain a competitive edge.

Key Requirements:

  • A minimum bachelor's degree with 5 years experience in product development, product management experience, preferably in deposit, debit card and remittance space and payroll related items
  • Proficiency in the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.
  • Solid understanding of consumer behaviour, market trends, competitor analysis and business acumen to grow product developed or being managed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for the effective stakeholders with sufficient understanding of basic regulatory requirements
