Responsibilities
1. Maintenance Systems & Asset Management
- Own and manage the CMMS to ensure accurate asset data, maintenance scheduling, and work order tracking
- Monitor equipment performance using key reliability metrics to improve maintenance strategies
- Ensure all maintenance activities are properly recorded, analyzed, and continuously improved
- Manage spare parts planning to balance availability and cost efficiency
- Prepare regular maintenance performance reports and insights
2. Mechanical Maintenance & Reliability
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex mechanical issues across production systems
- Plan and coordinate maintenance activities and shutdown schedules to support operational continuity
- Support execution of major maintenance works and improvement projects
- Continuously improve maintenance practices to enhance plant reliability and performance
3. Team Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance teams to build strong technical and problem-solving capabilities
- Provide structured guidance and training to ensure consistent maintenance practices across sites
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
- Identify capability gaps and drive skill development aligned with operational needs
4. Budgeting & Vendor Management
- Develop and manage maintenance budgets, ensuring cost control and efficiency
- Manage external contractors and service providers to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Collaborate with procurement to source reliable and cost-effective technical components
- Monitor vendor performance against agreed service standards
5. Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
- Support audit readiness in line with food safety and operational standards
- Apply structured problem-solving approaches to address recurring equipment issues
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field
- Minimum 10–12 years of experience in industrial/manufacturing maintenance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial mechanical systems (hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment, and facility systems)
- Proven experience managing maintenance across multiple sites or distributed operations is an advantage
- Hands-on experience with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, MP2, Maintenance Connection)
- Strong analytical capability in using maintenance data (e.g., MTBF, MTTR) to drive reliability improvements
- Good understanding of safety regulations and risk management practices
- Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders across operations, engineering, and external partners
- Proven leadership capability in developing and managing technical teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience in process-driven industries (e.g., food manufacturing, agriculture, automotive)
- Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) or Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM)
- Familiarity with GMP, ISO, or regulated manufacturing environments
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is an added advantage
- Experience in vendor management and maintenance cost control
