Senior Manager, Production Services Support (Finance - Capital Market)

About our Client: Our client is a Tier 1 Fortune 500 financial institution with a strong presence across the globe with main presence in America, Europe, and the Middle East. They are currently in the midst of expanding the team and undergoing a transformative change, hence they are looking for someone to lead the modern data engineering initiative. 

Work Mode: Hybrid

Location: Selangor

What will you do
  • • Utilize data-driven insights, operational metrics, and reporting to identify trends, improve production stability, and work closely with development teams and external vendors to drive continuous service improvements.

    • Collaborate with global production support teams to provide high-touch support for Fixed Income, Rates, and Credit trading desks, ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality service.

    • Ensure accurate incident logging and documentation, facilitate Incident and Problem Review Meetings (PRMs), track remediation activities to closure, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

    • Take ownership of day-to-day production support activities, proactively driving service reliability, platform stability, and operational excellence across the environment.

    • Lead major incident management efforts, serving as a key escalation point for critical production issues and coordinating rapid resolution to minimize business disruption.

    • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise to team members while maintaining strong support relationships with trading desks and aligned business stakeholders.

    • Serve as a hands-on technical and business specialist, leveraging strong project management and communication skills to develop in-depth knowledge of trading applications, system architecture, and upstream/downstream processes.

    • Manage production operations by leading incident response, problem management, root cause analysis, and service restoration activities to ensure a resilient and stable production environment.
What do you need to succeed Must Have:
  • Ideally 8 to 15 years of experience in IT with strong knowledge of Capital Markets including Fixed Income Products (FX, Cash, Derivatives, Structured Products, Commodities and Futures)
  • Demonstrated expertise in Fixed Income Credit and Rates, with strong knowledge of the end-to-end Fixed Income trading lifecycle, including market, client and reference data, pricing, trade execution, booking, live risk, market risk, clearing, and settlement processes
  • Hands-on experience with Linux, SQL, and scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, Python, or Java, supported by solid knowledge of databases, Windows environments, and core infrastructure components.
  • Proficient in utilizing enterprise scheduling, monitoring, and operational support tools, including Control-M, Geneos, Tableau, and ServiceNow, to maintain production stability and operational efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure architecture and system interoperability, encompassing servers, storage, networking, and middleware technologies within enterprise environments.
  • Well-versed in ITIL-based service management practices, with practical experience managing Event, Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes to support business-critical systems.
  • Skilled in production data analysis and operational reporting using ServiceNow, leveraging data-driven insights to identify trends, improve service quality, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Nice to Have:
  • Working knowledge of Murex
  • Experience in DevOps and cloud technology (AWS, GridGain)
  • Experience to support MQ, SOLACE and RV/RMDS
  • Hands-on support knowledge Bloomberg TOMS
  • Basic knowledge of ION
