Job Description

Summary of role:

  • Reporting to the AGM of SCM, the Senior Manager-SCM shall be responsible for handling the Supply Chain Management related activities for FPSO operations, bids for new projects and for project execution.
  • Manage a group of Buyers to support project / operational Supply Chain activities.
  • To ensure improvement in productivity, cost saving and process efficiency in Supply Chain.
  • To ensure effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:

  • To manage a group of supply chain resources, to support operational and project supply chain needs.
  • Strategize, formulate and implement cost effective supply chain plans to reduce overall costs for purchases of materials and services, including procurement costs and operating costs.
  • Reviews and approves the pre-tender documents, quotation / proposals, commercial evaluations, and award recommendation documents.
  • Coordinate between the end user and suppliers to ensure correct understanding of the requirements to obtain optimum pricing for the material / services required.
  • Coordinates and works with other departments to resolve all issues relevant to the procurement process.
  • Ensure the proper repository system for filing and documentation for procurement.
  • Participates in the development of new supply sources to enable competitive supply / services for the requirements.
  • To manage expediting and logistics requirements to ensure safe, timely and cost-effective delivery of supply and services.
  • Any other duties/ad-hoc duties as assigned by superior.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree/professional course in Engineering, Science or Business Management.
  • Minimum of 15 years experience in supply chain and procurement management in upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, taking ownership of assigned work and developing strategic solutions and recommendations.
  • Good awareness with respect to identifying & sourcing from leading regional & international suppliers & subcontractors.
  • Proven experience of working within a large Supply Chain department preferably utilizing SAP.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and work through a matrix organization where the procurement managers have direct functional responsibility to the line.
  • Strong analytical skills and cost control management experience of all aspects of procurement, logistics operations, production, materials supply, and inventory are required.
