Job Summary
To lead, strategise, and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations for Ayam Gepuk Pak Gembus, ensuring consistent supply, cost efficiency, food safety compliance, and scalability to support outlet expansion and franchise growth.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 812 years of experience in supply chain or operations, preferably in F&B, QSR, or retail chain.
- At least 35 years in a leadership or HOD role.
- Deep expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced supply chain planning tools
- Strong knowledge of halal supply chain, food safety standards, and Malaysia regulatory requirements
Key Responsibilities
1. Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business growth, cost targets, and operational excellence.
- Lead and manage procurement, logistics, warehousing, and inventory teams.
- Establish KPIs and performance dashboards for supply chain efficiency and reliability.
2. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Source, negotiate, and manage suppliers for raw materials (poultry, spices, packaging), equipment, and services.
- Ensure supplier compliance with halal, food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Build strategic partnerships to secure price stability and uninterrupted supply.
3. ERP Systems & Digital Supply Chain
- Lead the implementation, optimisation, and continuous improvement of ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or equivalent) across procurement, inventory, logistics, and finance integration.
- Ensure data accuracy, system governance, and real-time visibility of inventory, demand, and cost across all outlets, central kitchens, and warehouses.
- Translate business needs into system requirements and work closely with IT, vendors, and consultants on enhancements and upgrades.
4. Inventory & Demand Planning
- Implement demand forecasting and inventory control systems to minimise wastage and stock-outs.
- Optimize inventory turnover for central kitchen, warehouse, and outlets.
- Oversee stock planning for promotions, seasonal demand, and new outlet openings.
5. Logistics & Distribution
- Manage distribution from suppliers to central kitchen, warehouses, and outlets nationwide.
- Optimize transportation routes, delivery schedules, and logistics costs.
- Ensure on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery performance to all outlets.
6. Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, halal requirements, and internal quality standards.
- Work closely with QA to manage audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Implement traceability and recall procedures when required.
7. Cost Control & Continuous Improvement
- Control food cost, logistics cost, and procurement spend through data-driven decisions.
- Identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and system enhancements.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality or supply continuity.
8. Expansion & Franchise Support
- Support new outlet and franchise rollouts by ensuring supply readiness and scalability.
- Develop standardized supply chain SOPs for franchise operations.
- Coordinate with franchisees to ensure compliance with approved suppliers and systems.
9. Import & Export Management
- Manage import and export activities for raw materials, ingredients, equipment, and packaging where applicable.
- Ensure full compliance with customs regulations, permits, duties, and documentation (e.g. customs declaration, HS codes, COO, halal certification).
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth clearance and on-time delivery.
