Job Description

At TNG Digital, part of TNG Digital Group, we build the tech behind TNG eWallet, one of Malaysia's most used apps for payments and everyday life.

Millions of people rely on us daily, not just to pay, but to manage money, access financial services, and get things done faster and simpler.

Behind it all is a team that likes to question how things are done, move quickly, and try new ideas. If you enjoy solving real problems and seeing your work used at scale, you will feel right at home here.

Role Overview:

The Traffic Management Senior Manager is responsible for leading the current execution function into a strategic, data‑driven traffic management capability. This role will own app traffic performance end‑to‑end, oversee the platform onboarding and stabilization, and drive towards scalable, automated, and insight‑led traffic decisioning.

As a people manager, this role is accountable for building team capability, improving operational resilience, and enabling the organization to scale traffic performance without increasing operational dependency or risk.

What You'll Do:

Traffic Management Strategy & Performance

  • Own and drive the end‑to‑end app traffic management strategy, including traffic prioritization, distribution, and allocation across business initiatives.
  • Act as the single point of accountability for app traffic performance, balancing growth objectives, user experience, and operational constraints.
  • Establish traffic governance frameworks and decision rules to shift traffic management from execution‑based requests to data‑driven prioritization.
  • Monitor and optimize app traffic from a frontend and user journey perspective, identifying growth and optimization opportunities through user behavior, funnel analysis, and UX insights.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engagement, conversion, and traffic efficiency via A/B testing, experimentation, and personalization initiatives.
  • Translate traffic performance insights into clear recommendations to support senior management decision‑making.

System Management & Platform Leadership

  • Oversee the daily management, maintenance, and optimization of traffic platforms
  • Lead the onboarding, adoption, and stabilization of the platform, ensuring successful transition
  • Ensure system stability, data accuracy, and seamless integration with product, analytics, and downstream business systems
  • Identify automation and optimization opportunities to reduce manual workload, errors, and operational risks.

Analytics, Reporting & Performance Management

  • Analyze user segments to identify traffic value drivers and assess performance impact
  • Define and track key traffic KPIs (efficiency, conversion, engagement, operational dependency).
  • Maintain dashboards and performance reports linking traffic outcomes to business impact.

Operational Excellence & Process Transformation

  • Redesign and implement efficient, scalable workflows to streamline traffic operations
  • Eliminate manual processes through automation, standardization, and clear operating models.
  • Establish traffic governance, quality standards, and control processes to ensure consistency and reduce risk as complexity scales.

People Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead the Traffic Management team with strong analytical judgment and strategic ownership.
  • Build a scalable, high‑performing team, shifting to data-driven outcome accountability.
  • Partner with business units, Product, and Marketing to align traffic management and performance impact.

Role Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Data, Analytics, or related fields.
  • 6–7 years of experience in traffic management, CRM, growth operations, or digital platform optimization.
  • Proven experience leading operational transformation, platform onboarding, or automation initiatives.
  • Prior people management experience is required.
  • Strong data‑driven and analytical mindset
  • Leadership experience in transforming execution‑heavy operational teams
  • Strategic thinking with hands‑on execution capability
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Ability to drive change in complex and fast‑paced environments
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
