A Senior Manager, Vendor Management based in KL - upstream

An established oil & gas organisation supporting complex upstream operations through technical expertise and operational excellence, seeks a top-tier senior Procurement talent specialising in Vendor Management to be based in KL.
Your new role
As a Senior Manager, Vendor Management, you are responsible for developing and executing sourcing and vendor management strategies that ensure supply continuity, performance accountability, and sustainable commercial value across highimpact categories.
-Take ownership of endtoend category and vendor management strategy, translating consolidated business demand into medium to longterm sourcing and supplier plans.
-Lead supplier selection, negotiations, and performance governance, ensuring availability, cost effectiveness, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
-Partner with crossfunctional stakeholders to align demand planning, contract strategies, and supplier capabilities with operational priorities.
-Establish and monitor supplier performance frameworks, resolving escalations, managing claims, and driving accountability through KPIs and structured reviews.
-Ensure strong procurement governance through planning discipline, contract oversight, postaward reviews, and performance reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field. (Oil & Gas)
-Minimum 10 years experience across vendor management and category management.
-Strong experience in shouldcost modelling, industry cost profiles, and commercial evaluation models.
-Proven capability in contract optimisation and commercial review.
-Demonstrated experience leading procurement transformation, shifting from operational to strategic procurement, including change management.
