DFI Retail Group is a leading pan-Asian retailer and operates across four broad formats: Food (including Supermarkets, Hypermarkets, and Convenience stores), Health & Beauty, Home Furnishings, and Restaurants. The Group has operations in 12 markets and operates multiple formats in most markets to satisfy different customer segments and trades under well-recognized brands.

About The Role

We are building a unified martech ecosystem across the DFI retail group, with some markets migrating from existing platforms and others being designed and implemented from the ground up.

This role will be responsible for hands-on solution architecture and end to end delivery of core Martech capabilities, including customer Data platform, loyalty, campaign & journey ( CMS + Marketing Automation), survey & feedback systems.

You will ensure the Martech stack is scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with business and best practices, while driving architectural consistency across markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture Ownership & Governance

  • Design the end-to-end technical architecture of the unified martech stack, covering CDP, loyalty, CMS, marketing automation, campaign & journey orchestration, survey & feedback modules including integration with existing DFI systems and infrastructure
  • Define and maintain architecture standards, design patterns, integration approaches, and unified customer, event, and activation data models across markets
  • Ensure the Martech stack is scalable, secure, robust, and futureready, capable of supporting evolving business requirements and customer engagement needs
  • Develop and maintain the unified martech architecture blueprint to ensure consistent implementation and adoption across markets

Platform Integration & Technical Design

  • Architect and oversee integrations between the unified martech stack with systems such as Data Lake, POS, eCommerce, Mobile App, and CRM ensuring seamless data flow and operational alignment
  • Define API frameworks, event schemas, identity models, and realtime data flows
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate these into highquality technical designs, ensuring seamless data, workflow, and activation alignment
  • Participate in design workshops and technical discussions with platform vendor

Data strategy & customer Identity

  • Define unified customer identity framework across Loyalty, CDP, CMS, and Marketing Automation, ensuring consistent identification, stitching, and profile resolution across all touchpoints
  • Partner with data engineering to align on data ingestion, transformations, and audience activation pipelines
  • Ensure data models support advanced analytics, including personalisation, lifecycle modelling, churn, and CLTV

Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all implementations follow engineering, data, and security best practices (i.e. data quality checks, naming conventions, API hygiene, event standards).
  • Conduct architecture reviews, solution assessments, and technical audits to ensure maintainability and operational readiness.
  • Define and enforce cross-banner standards for events, behaviour tracking, transactional data, and campaign structures.

Operational enablement

  • Develop documentation, solution playbooks, and reusable templates for consistent market deployment.
  • Ensure smooth transition to business teams postimplementation

About You

  • 8+ years in Martech, digital architecture, or customer technology roles
  • Demonstrated experience in solution architecture, including two platform deployments with measurable revenue/efficiency gains
  • Hands on architecture for CDP, Marketing Automation, CMS, or Loyalty systems
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Strong project and program management expertise (Agile/Waterfall methodologies).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and architecture documentation skills
