Hiring: Senior Mechanical Engineer (FPSO Topsides)
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
We are looking for a highly experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading FPSO project as a Rotating Equipment & Process Package Specialist. This role will also act as a Mechanical Lead for a medium-sized FPSO Topsides project.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as Rotating Equipment Specialist and Technical Management Specialist for Topsides Process Packages such as GDU, HCDP, Separators, Coalescers, Desalters, etc.
- Serve as Mechanical Lead / Deputy Lead during FPSO project execution.
- Lead FEED, Basic Engineering, and Detailed Engineering activities.
- Review vendor designs, drawings, and technical documentation for large machinery and process packages.
- Provide construction and operations support when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 1520+ years of engineering experience (minimum one full FPSO project lifecycle).
- Strong expertise in FEED / Concept Engineering.
- Proven experience in FPSO Topsides projects, preferably in a senior or lead role.
- Hands-on experience with large process and machinery packages.
- Exposure to static equipment is an advantage.
Technical Expertise
- Expert-level knowledge of:
- Gas Turbine Generators (GTG)
- Compressors API 617
- Centrifugal Pumps API 610 (BB5)
- Strong exposure to Topsides Process Packages.
- Experience working on Petrobras projects is highly preferred.
- Good knowledge of Brazil regulatory compliance and critical NRs.
