Job Summary

The Senior Membership Executive is responsible for driving membership growth, engagement, and retention by developing and implementing effective membership strategies aligned with the organisation's objectives. This role manages relationships with members, prospective members, sponsors, stakeholders, and event participants while overseeing membership communications, enquiries, engagement programmes, and events. This role will work closely with internal teams to promote membership initiatives through various marketing and communication channels, coordinates event and membership-related materials, monitor membership trends and performance metrics, prepare analytical reports and recommendations, and ensure the accurate maintenance of membership records and administrative documentation to support the organisation's continued growth and member satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to attract new members, increase member engagement, and retain existing members align with organisational objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members, prospective members, sponsors, stakeholders, and event participants through effective and professional communication.
  • Manage and respond to inquiries from corporate members, prospective members, sponsors, and event attendees in a timely and professional manner.
  • Plan and coordinate membership engagement initiatives, including meetings, networking sessions, seminars, conferences, and related activities to strengthen member participation and organisational visibility.
  • Promote membership initiatives, events, and engagement programmes through various communication channels, including social media, email campaigns, registration platforms, and the organisation's website.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to develop and produce membership and event-related materials, including invitations, promotional assets, event collaterals, registration portals, and website content updates.
  • Monitor membership trends and analyse engagement and participation data, preparing reports and recommendations for continuous improvement and membership growth strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date membership records, databases, and administrative documentation to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency.
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Superiors from time to time

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in membership management, stakeholder engagement, customer relationship management, business development, event management, association management, or a related role.
  • Proven experience in membership growth, engagement, and retention, including planning and delivering events, seminars, conferences, networking sessions, and other member engagement activities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiar with CRM systems, membership databases, event registration platforms, CMS, and digital communication tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage effectively with corporate members, sponsors, and external partners at all levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret membership and engagement data to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to service excellence.
  • Willingness to travel and work outside standard office hours, including weekends and public holidays when required for events and programmes.
