Job Title: Senior Middleware Engineer (IBM & Oracle)
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Role Duration: 12 months (extendable)
Experience Required: 6–10 Years
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Middleware Engineer with strong expertise in IBM and Oracle middleware technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, administering, and optimizing enterprise middleware environments across multiple platforms including AS400, UNIX (AIX, Solaris), Linux, and Windows Server.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and support enterprise middleware environments across AS400, UNIX, Linux, and Windows platforms
- Install, configure, and upgrade middleware components
- Manage and support IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and Oracle WebLogic Server
- Work with Apache Tomcat, JBoss / Red Hat EAP, IBM MQ, Apache HTTP Server
- Perform application deployment and validation across middleware platforms
- Configure and manage middleware clustering and high availability setups
- Monitor system performance and conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure system stability and availability
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and operational procedures
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS)
- Oracle WebLogic Server
- Apache Tomcat, JBoss / Red Hat EAP
- IBM MQ and Apache HTTP Server
- Strong understanding of middleware platform administration
- Experience in middleware clustering and high availability
- Expertise in installation, configuration, upgrades, and deployments
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
- Experience working across AS400, AIX, Solaris, Linux, and Windows Server environments
Soft Skills:
- Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Knowledge of Bahasa Melayu is an added advantage
- Good technical documentation and reporting skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in enterprise-scale middleware environments
- Exposure to data center or infrastructure transformation projects
