Job Summary:
The Senior Murex Developer (FO) will be responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting Murex Front Office modules within Treasury and Capital Markets systems. This role involves hands-on development in Murex tooling (FO workflows, formulas, MDRS, Datamart, interfaces), performance tuning, and implementing new FO functionalities. The candidate will collaborate closely with traders, business analysts, and L2/L3 support teams to deliver robust FO solutions, support trade simulations and P&L processes, and optimize FO-BO integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead design, development, and enhancement of Murex Front Office (FO) modules.
- Implement and optimize pricing, trade booking, trade simulation, and P&L workflows.
- Develop custom Murex components including formulas, pre-/post-trade workflows, Datamart reports, and simulation tools.
- Work with business teams to translate FO requirements into Murex configuration and development tasks.
- Conduct root-cause analysis for complex FO/BO system issues and provide L3-level fixes.
- Build and enhance interfaces using Murex APIs, Market Data loaders, and integration modules.
- Optimize performance for SQL Server 2012 queries and Murex workflows.
- Participate in system upgrades, environment migrations, and regression testing.
- Mentor junior analysts and developers, providing technical guidance and solution reviews.
- Prepare technical design documentation, release notes, and deployment instructions.
Required Skills:
- 6-9 years of hands-on Murex development experience, primarily in Front Office.
- Strong expertise in FO workflows, pricing configuration, simulations, and P&L engines.
- Experience in Developing
- o MxML Exchange workflows
- o Murex formulas & pre/post trade modules
- o Datamart reports, dynamic tables, and simulation views
- o Static data extraction and enrichment logic
- Strong SQL skills (SQL Server 2012) for tuning, debugging, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with Windows Server 2012 environments and Murex infrastructure components.
- Deep understanding of Treasury products (FX, MM, IRD, structured products preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for complex FO issues.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Treasury Front Office processes and user interactions.
- Knowledge of trade simulation engine and scenario analysis setups.
- Understanding of trade P&L production, intraday P&L, and P&L attribution.
- Exposure to Market Data setup, curves, volatility surfaces, and pricing models.
- Experience with scripting, automation, or CI/CD pipelines for Murex deployments.
