Senior N8N Engineer

We are looking for a Senior n8n Engineer to lead the design and implementation of scalable automation solutions across the organization. In this role, you will architect complex workflows, mentor team members, and drive automation strategy using n8n and related technologies.

You will work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and deliver robust, secure, and maintainable integrations.

Key Responsibilities

             •           Architect, design, and implement complex workflows using n8n

             •           Lead end-to-end automation initiatives across multiple business units

             •           Build and manage integrations with APIs, third-party platforms, and internal systems

             •           Establish best practices for workflow design, testing, monitoring, and deployment

             •           Optimize workflows for scalability, performance, and fault tolerance

             •           Implement advanced error handling, retry logic, logging, and alerting systems

             •           Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance

             •           Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

             •           Manage and maintain self-hosted n8n environments (including scaling and uptime)

             •           Ensure security, compliance, and data governance across all workflows

             •           Evaluate and introduce new tools, frameworks, and automation strategies

Required Skills & Qualifications

             •           4+ years of experience in automation, integration, or backend engineering roles

             •           Strong hands-on experience with n8n or similar tools (e.g., Zapier, Make)

             •           Advanced knowledge of APIs (REST, GraphQL), authentication (OAuth2, JWT, etc.)

             •           Strong proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js preferred)

             •           Experience designing scalable, event-driven architectures

             •           Solid understanding of databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)

             •           Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

             •           Familiarity with Docker, containerization, and deployment pipelines

             •           Strong debugging, monitoring, and performance optimization skills

Preferred Qualifications

             •           Experience self-hosting and scaling n8n in production environments

             •           Knowledge of CI/CD tools and DevOps practices

             •           Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.)

             •           Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)

             •           Experience integrating enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, payment gateways)

             •           Exposure to AI/ML integrations (e.g., OpenAI APIs, automation with LLMs)

Leadership & Ownership

             •           Own the automation architecture and roadmap

             •           Drive standardization and governance of workflows

             •           Act as the subject matter expert for automation across the company

             •           Influence technical decisions and cross-team integration strategies

             •           Lead code/workflow reviews and enforce best practices
