We're supporting a global financial institution in hiring a Senior Network Architect based in Kuala Lumpur - a strategic, high-impact role focused on architecting and governing enterprise-scale networks across multiple regions.
This isn't your typical keep the lights on role. You'll be driving architecture, design governance, and technical leadership for mission-critical network infrastructure spanning multiple regions.
Responsiblities:
- Lead network architecture and design for global data centers and connectivity projects.
- Define and review High-Level & Low-Level Designs (topology, hardware/software standards, configurations).
- Partner with OEMs and global teams to integrate new networking technologies.
- Oversee project delivery from design implementation operational handover.
- Ensure networks are secure, scalable, and high-performing at enterprise scale.
Requirements:
- 10+ years in network design, architecture, and engineering (ideally in global or financial environments).
- 5+ years hands-on in network build/design.
- CCIE certification is a must. ITIL and zScaler certs are a plus.
- Deep expertise in routers, switches, SDN, SD-WAN, VPN, Firewall, Proxy, Load Balancer, ISE, etc.
- Solid grasp of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, IPsec, EIGRP, STP, etc.).
- Bonus: scripting skills (Python/Perl) & cloud networking (Azure/GCP).
- Strong stakeholder management and project leadership skills.
