Job title: Senior Network TAC Engineer
Reports to: Customer Succession Manager
Location: HQ, Putrajaya
Nature of Business: B2B Network and Data Centre business.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Act as Tier 3 support, handling escalations from Customer Service Helpdesk.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, incident resolution, and lead post-mortems.
- Mentor Tier 1 and Tier 2 engineers, providing training and technical guidance.
- Plan, test, and implement network upgrades, improvements, and standards.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain key network technologies (e.g., Cisco, F5, SD-WAN, MPLS, firewalls, WAF).
- Monitor Internet peering, traffic management, and ensure network performance meets SLA.
- Collaborate with vendors, customers, and internal teams on complex issues.
- Support data center operations and ensure optimal uptime and resiliency.
Key Competencies:
- Diploma/Degree in IT, Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field.
- 56 years of experience in telecommunications, network operations, or network engineering.
- Strong technical knowledge in routing/switching protocols (especially BGP, OSPF) and hands-on experience with Cisco products.
- Experience with cybersecurity concepts and their application in network design and troubleshooting.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead resolution activities.
- Willingness to work on standby, on-call, weekends, and public holidays as required.
