Senior NPI Engineer (Test Development)

We are looking for a Senior NPI Engineer to join our team and take a leading role in new product test development and system integration for the ATE industry. This role is ideal for engineers with strong hardware fundamentals, system-level thinking, and hands-on debugging experience, who enjoy turning complex prototypes into production-ready products.

As a senior member of the team, you will drive test strategy, lead system integration activities, and support the stabilization of new products through close collaboration with R&D, Applications, and Production teams. You should be inquisitive, structured in your approach, and constantly looking for better ways to validate and integrate our products.

Here's where you come in:

During new product roll-out, you will be deeply involved in test development, hardware-software integration, and system bring-up. You will work across multiple domains analog, digital, mixed-signal, timing to ensure our ATE modules and systems function correctly as a complete solution.

While our software platform is written in C# (.NET Framework), this role requires a well-rounded engineer who is comfortable moving between software, hardware, and system-level debugging. You will not only develop test algorithms and test flows, but also analyse failures, identify root causes, and ensure design intent is correctly realized at system level.

In addition, you may contribute to the development and improvement of calibration software frameworks, ensuring accurate, repeatable, and production-ready calibration processes for new products.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead new product test development activities from prototype stage through production release.
• Drive system-level integration and bring-up, including interaction between multiple modules, firmware, and software layers.
• Define and review test architecture, test coverage, and validation strategy for new products.
• Perform hardware debugging and failure analysis at board, module, and system level.
• Develop, review, and enhance test algorithms and test flows using existing ATE software frameworks.
• Design and develop calibration software architectures, algorithms, and automation frameworks to support product validation and production calibration.
• Analyse test results, identify performance issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Work closely with R&D, Applications, and Production teams during NPI and ramp-up phases.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance in test development and system integration.
• Support sustaining issues related to system integration, test coverage, or production test failures.

Requirements

• Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Electronic / Communications / Mechatronic) or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in NPI test development, product engineering, or system integration roles (ATE or semiconductor test industry preferred).
• Strong competency in understanding and debugging complex electronic schematics (analog, digital, mixed-signal, closed-loop systems).
• Solid hands-on experience with test and measurement instruments such as DMM, Oscilloscope, SMU, Signal Analyzer, Network Analyzer, AWG, etc.
• Strong understanding of system-level interactions, including timing, synchronization, noise, grounding, and thermal effects.
• Knowledge of programming in C# / C++ is required; ability to develop and maintain test code is expected.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, lead technical discussions, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
