Job Description

Position : Senior Operations Engineer

Industry : Oil & Gas

Location : Kuala Lumpur Office

Employment Type : Contract

Scope of Work:

Lead and support day-to-day production operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable performance of offshore facilities.
Provide technical expertise in operations and maintenance, troubleshooting process issues, and optimizing production output.
Develop and implement operating procedures, maintenance plans, and improvement initiatives in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including maintenance, integrity, and HSE to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
Monitor production performance, analyze trends, and recommend corrective actions to improve plant reliability and uptime.
Support turnaround, shutdown, and start-up activities by providing technical input and ensuring smooth execution.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and offshore personnel to build operational capability.
Prepare and review operational reports, ensuring timely submission to management and regulatory bodies.

Requirement(s):

Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline).
Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas production operations, with at least 5 years in a senior or lead role.
Strong technical knowledge in production engineering, operations, and maintenance.
Familiar with offshore operations and regulatory compliance in Malaysia.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Based in Kuala Lumpur with willingness to travel offshore when required.
