Qualification
Minimum 5 years of Database Administration on MidRange/Wintel Databases. Knowledge on Mainframe Databases will be advantageous. Bachelor's Degree in any discipline - Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in IT. Diploma in IT - Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in IT. Professional DBMS certification is advantageous.
Competencies
Good knowledge on Oracle Database Administration Installation, upgrade, patches Database performance tuning. Backup & Recovery. Automation of monitoring & alerts generation. Experience on Disaster Recovery. Knowledge on Cluster setup such as Oracle RAC, HACMP, Veritas Cluster and Windows cluster. Knowledge on DB replication such as Dataguard, Goldengate & Disks Replication. DBMS installation & Upgrades. Standard enforcements. Capacity Management & Planning.
