Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible payroll processing in-house including managing the SLAs/KPIs for payroll accuracy and timely payout to our employees
  2. Driving Quality and Customer Satisfaction targets
  3. Handling ongoing customer service issues related to Payroll
  4. Responding to employee's inquiries as per agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  5. Handle all statutory payments related to EPF/SOCSO/EIS/PCB/HRDF/TABUNG HAJI/ASN/AIG/PTPTN/Zakat on monthly basis.
  6. Generate EA forms for all eligible employees in compliance with LHDN requirements.
  7. Prepare and complete the annual Form E through e-filling (e-CP8D) system within the deadline each year.
  8. Manage and prepare tax clearance forms (CP21 & CP22A).
  9. Maintain and manage all payroll related GL Accounts and will be responsible for reconciliation and accuracy of the accounts on a monthly basis.
  10. Prepare and /or review Payroll GL related accounting entries including various accruals such as Commissions, Vacations, Payroll Labor cost etc. and work closely with the GL team to ensure postings are accurate and aligned with payroll record.
  11. Coordinate and monitor the year-end related journal entries and ensure the postings per the year-end plans. Also review the existing year-end plan and make it more robust to ensure accurate and timely postings that result in accurate financial reporting.
  12. Support management with any required ad-hoc reporting, relevant information and presentations as needed.
  13. Coordinate and support payroll audit related requests from internal and external auditors as required.
  14. Provide support on ensuring SOX controls (Optional) and internal operational controls compliance for payroll and payroll accounting.
  15. Archiving all supporting documents as per retention policy and ensure compliance to all audit requirements
  16. Partnering with internal organizations such as Human Resource, Finance, Tax, IT, Accounting, Legal and SAP consultant to have the right process in place.
  17. Escalate and discuss with Superior for important and critical issue
  18. Participate and support on project testing related to payroll system enhancement and upgrades.
  19. Other duties assigned by supervisors.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor degree in any related fields.
  2. Excellent oral and written skills in English.
  3. At least 6-8 years of related working experience and experience in handling Malaysia payroll would be added advantage.
  4. Proficient knowledge on Microsoft Office application
  5. Prior knowledge in payroll accounting would be an added advantage
  6. Experience in SAP HCM (Payroll) and SAP R3 (financial) modules are highly desirable.
  7. The ability to multitask and work well in a shared services environment.
  8. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
