Role Description
- Provide physiotherapy assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation services to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Plan and implement individualized treatment programs to improve patients physical function, mobility, and quality of life.
- Supervise and guide junior physiotherapists, interns, and therapy assistants.
- Assist in departmental planning, workflow coordination, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other allied health professionals to deliver multidisciplinary care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and prepare necessary reports.
- Participate in training, clinical teaching, and continuous professional development activities.
- Ensure proper use and care of physiotherapy equipment.
- Support initiatives to enhance service quality, patient experience, and compliance with hospital standards.
- Contribute to audits, quality improvement projects, and departmental meetings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in a hospital/rehabilitation setting, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Registered with the Malaysian Allied Health Professions Council.
-Strong clinical knowledge and practical skills in physiotherapy across various specialties (e.g., musculoskeletal, neurological, cardio respiratory).
- Good leadership and mentoring skills to support junior staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work in a team-based environment.
- Passionate about patient care, rehabilitation, and continuous improvement.
- Computer literate with proficiency in relevant healthcare systems/software
