Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive public relations and communication strategies that align with organizational objectives, ensuring long-term brand positioning and stakeholder engagement.
  • Media Relations: Cultivate and sustain relationships with journalists, media outlets, and key opinion leaders to secure favorable coverage, handle media inquiries, and amplify brand narratives.
  • Influencer Management: Identify, evaluate, and partner with relevant influencers to build authentic endorsements; negotiate collaborations, monitor campaign performance, and ensure compliance with brand guidelines and disclosure regulations.
  • Content Creation: Oversee the development of high-quality materials, including press releases, blog posts, social media content, speeches, and multimedia assets, tailored to target audiences.
  • Crisis Management: Design proactive crisis response plans, manage real-time communications during reputational threats, and conduct post-crisis evaluations to mitigate future risks.
  • Team Leadership: Direct and mentor the PR team, allocate resources effectively, manage budgets, and foster a collaborative environment to achieve departmental goals.
  • Performance Analysis: Track media coverage, sentiment analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) using analytics tools; generate insights to refine strategies and demonstrate ROI to stakeholders.
  • Event Management: Plan, execute, and promote press conferences, product launches, webinars, and other events to enhance visibility and facilitate direct engagement with audiences.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, legal, and other teams to align messaging, integrate PR efforts with broader campaigns, and maintain brand consistency across all channels.

Qualifications

  • Must be a confident communicator and presenter
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and able to lead a team independently with minimal supervision
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Have a full understanding of media needs and media relationships
  • Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail
  • Possess the ability to keep information confidential
  • Tactical understanding of all primary social media platforms
  • Ability to work in high-stress environments, often for long hours and multiple projects simultaneously
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude
  • Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
