Job Overview

We are seeking a highly versatile and experienced Senior Pre-Sales Consultant to join our growth team. In this role, you will be the ultimate bridge between business vision and technical reality.

You will partner with our sales team to win new business by designing robust software architectures, building high-impact proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and commanding the room during technical deep-dives with client CTOs and engineering teams. When you aren't closing deals, you will be getting your hands dirty in the codebase, ensuring our core product scales and aligns with market demands.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pre-Sales & Client Strategy (40%)

● Technical Discovery: Partner with the sales team to understand prospective clients complex business needs, technical ecosystems, and pain points.

● Solution Architecture: Design scalable, secure, and high-performing software architectures that integrate seamlessly with client infrastructure.

● Technical Pitching: Deliver compelling product demonstrations and technical presentations to both executive stakeholders (C-level) and engineering teams.

● RFP & Proposal Leadership: Own the technical responses for RFPs/RFIs, ensuring accuracy, security compliance, and architectural integrity.

2. Hands-on Prototyping & Development (40%)

● Rapid Prototyping: Build bespoke Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and custom API integrations to validate solutions and accelerate the sales cycle.

● Core Product Development: Contribute directly to the core product codebase, ensuring that client feedback and market trends are actively engineered into the product.

● Technical Debt & Scaling: Work alongside the core engineering team to maintain high code quality, architectural standards, and system performance.

3. Mentorship & Collaboration (20%)

● Feedback Loop: Act as the voice of the market, translating client requirements into actionable product features for the Product Management team.

● Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the account management teams.

Required Experience and Skills

Technical Proficiencies

● 7+ years of professional software engineering experience using languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or .NET

● Deep Architectural Expertise: Proven experience designing microservices, event-driven architectures, and RESTful/GraphQL APIs.

● Cloud Architecture: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Cloud certifications are a massive plus.

● Data Systems: Solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, caching layers, and data streaming (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).

Commercial & Soft Skills

● Pre-Sales/Consulting Track Record: At least 2–3 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role (Pre-Sales, Solutions Architecture, or Technical Consulting) helping close B2B enterprise deals.

● Communication Mastery: The unique ability to explain complex technical concepts simply to non-technical stakeholders, while remaining credible with senior developers.

● Problem-Solving Agility: A knack for thinking on your feet during live client workshops to propose viable architectural workarounds.
