Key Responsibilities
- Develop process design for EPC projects, including terminals, skids, plant revamps, and debottlenecking
- Produce PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, and sizing calculations (NPSH, hydraulic, line/equipment)
- Lead and participate in HAZOP studies
- Conduct material and heat balance studies
- Perform relief and control valve sizing; develop popping philosophies
- Prepare material selection diagrams and determine requirements for chemicals/solvents/catalysts
- Generate and review equipment and instrument datasheets
- Coordinate with multi-discipline teams to ensure integrated design delivery
- Prepare pre-commissioning, commissioning, and performance test procedures
- Report design progress and manage adherence to schedule
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering (or related discipline)
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in process design
- Experience in conceptual, FEED, and detailed design for onshore/offshore oil & gas projects
- Exposure to offsite facilities and bulk storage tank terminals preferred
- Strong background in process flow diagrams, process schemes, FEED deliverables, and descriptions
- Proficient in international process design codes and standards
- Skilled in process simulation tools (e.g. HYSYS) and hydraulic calculation software
- Experience with tankage and chemical plant process design
- Ability to develop process schemes and integrated design documentation
