Job Description

Job Descriptions

  1. Prepare and issue purchase orders based on purchase requisitions and ensure the timely follow-up with vendors for expected delivery dates (ETD).
  2. Sourcing and negotiate for the most competitive price in terms of quality, price, payment terms, deliveries and services with vendors
  3. Track and monitor the ETD of purchase orders to ensure timely delivery to meet target ETD requirements
  4. Handle order discrepancies, returns, and resolve any issues related to product quality or delivery.
  5. Maintain accurate records in the system, including stock items, supplier pricing, and supplier details.
  6. Ensure that all procurement data is up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with company standards
  7. Prepare daily purchasing reports, providing accurate and timely data on orders, deliveries, and any discrepancies.
  8. Follow up with vendors on ETD for Returned Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) and require vendor provide the root cause and correction action.
  9. Collaborate with others departments such as finance, production, and warehouse teams to understand and anticipate purchasing needs.
  10. Participate in supplier audits to assess and ensure that suppliers meet the company's quality, compliance, and performance standards
  11. Continuously develop and improve the procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure high-quality products.
  12. Adhere to all company procurement procedures, policies, and compliance regulations to ensure consistency and transparency in purchasing activities.
  13. Undertake other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company, ensuring on-time completion and full closure of tasks.

Additional Responsibilities

  1. Ability to work independently.
  2. Provide guidance and mentoring to procurement executive as necessary to support their development.
  3. Take on more complex procurement tasks and vendor negotiations.
  4. Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement strategies.

Job Requirements

General requirements for all:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field
  2. At least 5 year(s) of working experience in purchasing/inventory/material management in automation or related field is required for this position.
  3. Computer literate with knowledge in Microsoft Office application
  4. Strong negotiation and communication skills
  5. Ability to work under pressure and extra hours, including weekend, if required
  6. Positive working attitude and able to communicate to all levels.
  7. Responsible and proactive
