Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with strong expertise in JIRA-based project tracking, resource management, and deliverables governance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, tracking, and driving project execution across multiple teams while ensuring timely delivery of milestones and business objectives.
The role requires excellent stakeholder management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage project schedules, resource allocation, risks, dependencies, and reporting using Agile and hybrid project management methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end project delivery from initiation through closure.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Track project progress and ensure alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
JIRA Administration & Task Management
- Create, maintain, and govern JIRA boards, workflows, dashboards, and reports.
- Track project tasks, user stories, epics, and sprint activities using JIRA.
- Ensure accurate task ownership, status updates, and timely closure of actions.
- Monitor backlog health and facilitate prioritization discussions.
- Generate project health reports, burn-down charts, velocity reports, and executive dashboards.
- Drive accountability through effective task tracking and follow-up.
Resource Management
- Manage project resource allocation and capacity planning.
- Coordinate with functional managers to ensure resource availability.
- Monitor resource utilization and identify capacity constraints.
- Track onboarding, offboarding, and allocation changes across project teams.
- Escalate resource risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Deliverables Tracking & Governance
- Maintain a comprehensive tracker for project deliverables, milestones, and dependencies.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and agreed timelines.
- Monitor completion status and proactively address delays.
- Facilitate review and approval processes for project outputs.
- Drive closure of action items and ensure adherence to commitments.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and steering committee reviews.
- Provide transparent communication on project progress, risks, and escalations.
- Prepare executive-level reports and presentations.
- Coordinate effectively with business, technical, vendor, and leadership teams.
Agile Project Management
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including:
- Sprint Planning
- Daily Stand-ups
- Sprint Reviews
- Retrospectives
- Support Scrum Masters and delivery teams in achieving sprint goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.
