Job Description

Lam Soon Edible Oils is seeking an exceptional Senior Product Manager to manage our Naturel brand, in all aspects of strategic brand management with product innovation, driving both our market presence and business growth. This is a high impact role reporting directly to the Director of Brand Marketing. Your purpose is to plan, execute, and manage marketing strategies, campaigns, product launches, and activities that effectively promote the brand, attract customers, and contribute to achieving the company's marketing and business objectives

What You Will Deliver: Key Responsibilities :

i. Strategic Leadership & Market Mastery

  • Define the Blueprint: Establish positioning, identify target audiences, and develop comprehensive marketing plans with specific objectives for your product portfolio.
  • Insights to Action: Analyze consumer insights, trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build highly successful strategies.
  • Competitive Edge: Conduct rigorous pricing research and analysis to ensure our products and pricing are competitive.
  • Optimization: Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness and impact of marketing initiatives, using tracking and analysis to optimize performance.
  • New Product Development Vision: Lead extensive market research to identify emerging trends, consumer needs, and potential gaps for new product opportunities.

ii. Execution Excellence & Campaign Management

  • Campaign Ownership: Lead the execution of all marketing programs from start to end, driving collaboration across internal teams
  • Creative Direction: Develop NPD/creative briefs and guide creative direction to meet clear objectives for all NPD and advertising
  • Financial Stewardship: Monitor spending to ensure optimal allocation of resources and strict adherence to budgetary constraints
  • Cross-Functional Synergy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including trade marketing, sales, and finance, ensuring campaigns and new products are seamlessly integrated into the overall business strategy
  • New Product Development Lifecycle: Manage cross-functional teams through a defined and gated NPD process, including developing and maintaining the project timeline
  • Financial Viability: Analyze and evaluate the profitability and viability of developing new products

iii. Team Development & Culture

  • Empowerment: Mentor, develop, and empower team members,nurturing their skills and potential for growth
  • High Performance: Lead by example, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages creativity and high performance

The Ideal Candidate: Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or any related field.
  • Candidates should possess at least 10 years of experience in product brand marketing.
  • Experience in the FMCG industry or similar, is most preferred and suited.
  • Willing to be based in Glenmarie, Shah Alam.

Skills & Competencies

  • Brand & Strategy: Proven experience in brand management, maintaining consistency, and developing strategies to increase brand awareness and equity
  • Data Proficiency: Proficiency in marketing principles, including market research, consumer behavior analysis, and marketing analytics
  • Performance Metrics: Experience in tracking and analyzing brand/campaign performance metrics to optimize strategies
  • Team Leadership: Experience in leading and managing marketing teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
  • Budget Management: Proficient in managing marketing budgets effectively and allocating resources to maximize ROI
  • Tech Stack: Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Office applications, Nielsen, Kantar, and other business intelligence tools
