Job Title: Senior Production Planner (Experienced in SAP MM/PP and KINAXIS RAPIDRESPONSE )

About The Role:
The production planner will be responsible in developing and executing weekly and monthly production plans aligned with demand forecasts, capacity, and inventory targets while ensuring optimal line loading by balancing machine capability, manpower, and resource availability. The production planner will also monitor production performance and adjusts schedules proactively to address disruptions and shifting priorities, while collaborating cross-functionally with Manufacturing, QA, Engineering, and Warehouse teams to maintain smooth production flow. Besides that, the production planner will be responsible in identifying bottlenecks, recommends corrective actions, and drives continuous improvement in throughput, scheduling accuracy, and planning efficiency.
The production planner will track key performance metrics such as output, cycle time, and yield, ensuring data accuracy within planning systems, while analyzing performance variances and implements improvement initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and digital transformation.
The production planner also serves as a Key User for SAP (PP/MM modules) and Kinaxis RapidResponse, providing system support, troubleshooting, configuration, and user training while managing inventory health by reviewing aging and obsolete stock, ensuring timely resolution and proper disposition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop weekly and monthly production plans aligned with demand forecasts, available capacity, and inventory targets.
- Ensure balanced line loading considering machine capability, manpower, and resource availability.
- Monitor actual output and proactively adjust schedules to address changes, disruptions, or urgent priorities.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, QA, Engineering, Warehouse) to maintain smooth production flow.
- Identify constraints or bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions to improve throughput.
- Track daily output, cycle time, and product yield; ensure accurate data capture in planning systems.
- Report production performance, analyze variances, and propose improvement actions.
- Drive enhancements in scheduling accuracy, planning efficiency, and master data reliability.
- Act as Key User for SAP (PP/MM modules) and Kinaxis Rapid Response, supporting configuration, troubleshooting, and user training.
- Lead process improvement initiatives, automation projects, and digital planning transformation.
- Review aging and odd-hand inventory, ensure timely rectification, and recommend disposition for unusable stocks.
Qualifications and Experience:

- Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operations, Business, or related field.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in production planning and Capacity Planning.
- Strong knowledge of MRP, capacity planning, supply chain flow, and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience with SAP (PP/MM or IBP) and Kinaxis RapidResponse preferred.
- Proficient in Excel and advanced planning tools; familiarity with ERP and APS systems.
- Experience as a Key User or Process Expert, including system testing, data validation, and change management
- Identify and implement process improvements or automation to streamline planning workflows.
