Position Overview
The Senior Production Planner is responsible for integrating production planning and procurement activities to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing output. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Procurement, Engineering, Marketing, and Logistics to balance supply and demand, optimize resources, and support organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on forecasts, orders, and inventory levels.
- Coordinate and monitor production activities to ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Track production progress, identify bottlenecks, and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Adjust schedules proactively to manage machine downtime, material shortages, or urgent customer demands.
- Lead preparation and execution of Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings.
- Support long-term demand and capacity planning aligned with business goals.
- Manage procurement and sourcing activities to ensure material availability and cost targets.
- Monitor and maintain accurate Bill of Material (BOM) cost and lead-time data.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and quality requirements.
- Participate in global supply chain improvement projects, including ERP and planning tool implementations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field advanced certification preferred.
- Minimum 8-12 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or procurement.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in ERP systems, supply chain tools, and advanced Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with international exposure.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to rapid changes.
