JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Project Manager Enterprise provides strategic leadership and oversight for the end to-end development and execution of enterprise-wide digital programmes and projects, including operational and investment initiatives. This role leads and develops project managers that report to the Senior Project Manager, ensuring effective coordination of internal and external stakeholders, resources, and vendors to deliver projects successfully, on time, and within budget. The position is accountable for aligning programme and project outcomes with business goals, optimising operational performance- and ensuring compliance with scope, quality, cost, and benefit objectives across the organisation's project and programme.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Programme & Project Delivery
- Provide End-to-end delivery ownership, ensuring programmes and projects achieve agreed scope, milestones, budget, quality, and intended benefits.
- Translation of strategy into execution, developing clear delivery plans, roadmaps, workstreams, defined deliverables, and measurable success outcomes.
- Delivery management, driving robust planning, scheduling, dependency management, change control, and risk and issue resolution across interdependent initiatives.
Team Leadership & Performance Management
- Lead and develop high performing programme and project teams assigned, delivering quality outcomes under tight timelines and complex conditions.
- Set clear expectations, roles, and accountability, monitoring capacity and taking corrective action to address delivery, capability, or resourcing gaps within the defined project structure.
- Coach and uplift delivery capability, fostering a collaborative, outcome-focused across the team.
- Responsible to manage Enterprise Project Manager(s) under this role in delivering projects or project management activities and deliverables. To directly mentor and supervise the project manager(s) reporting under this position.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Primary point of accountability for senior stakeholders and sponsors, managing expectations, priorities, and to maintain alignment between business objectives and delivery outcomes.
- Oversight of delivery team and vendors, ensuring contractual commitments, milestones, and service levels are met and performance issues are proactively addressed.
Delivery Governance & Standards
- Enforce delivery governance, standards, and risk management, ensuring consistent, predictable, and compliant execution across the project and programme lifecycle, ensure accurate reporting forecasting, and decision support to sponsors and steering committees. ensure accurate reporting forecasting, and decision support to sponsors and steering committees.
- Drive continuous improvement in delivery performance, leveraging post-implementation reviews, lessons learned, and ongoing refinement of delivery tools, practices, and methodologies.
Portfolio Financial Planning & Investment Alignment
- Lead end-to-end portfolio financial planning and annual budgeting for a large and complex project landscape, aligned with approved corporate, operational, and investment strategies. Ensure funding allocations reflect strategic priorities and approved business cases, maintaining strong cost governance at the portfolio planning level.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications & Requirement:
- Malaysian citizen
- Passed the Malay Language (including oral test) at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. (minimum CGPA 3.0).
- Minimum 13 - 16 years relevant work experience.
- IT / Digital Technology Certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile, CSM, PSM, SAFe Agilist, etc.
Soft skills:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in managing and mentoring project managers, with the ability to oversee multiple complex programmes and projects.
- Proven experience in aligning programme and project outcomes with organisational goals, driving operational efficiency, and delivering measurable business benefits.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior management, business units, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Hands-on experience in project budget management, resource planning, and team optimisation to ensure the right skills and competencies are available.
- Proven track record of delivering projects within scope, timeline, budget, and quality requirements while effectively managing risks and ensuring compliance with organisational standards and governance.
