About the Job
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for application projects delivery and to ensure smooth business-as-usual (BAU) operations for the applications under your management. Your responsibilities include planning and executing projects, coordinating resources, and managing timelines and budgets. You will work with internal teams and vendors to deliver quality solutions, maintain system stability, and support enhancements while ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
- Plan and implement complex application projects impacting multiple users and business functions. Review and advice in planning, directing, controlling, safe guarding, risk evaluation, budgeting, feasibility study, development, maintenance and implementation of system development activities.
- Lead project planning and execution, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Manage projects and applications BAU activities, coordinate dependencies, and oversee delivery and deliverables with teams and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with organizational strategy, IT governance, and enterprise architecture standards.
- Verify financial accuracy and maintain quality of vendor deliverables.
- Assess impacts of proposed changes on systems and recommend appropriate actions.
- Identify and mitigate business, technical, and regulatory risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Recommend process improvements and stay updated on industry trends to optimize project outcomes.
- Prepare RFPs, assess proposals from vendors and recommend the solution best meeting business needs and objectives.
We are looking for people who
- Relevant degree-level qualification or equivalent.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT software development projects and application/system support roles.
- At least 5 years experience managing projects involving multiple teams and vendors, with strong vendor management and coordination skills.
- Good technical and business understanding with ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Strong experience in stakeholders, scope and change management, with proven ability to manage scope creep, back-and-forth changes and complex requests.
- Strong domain knowledge in channels/touchpoints with experience in projects related to web portal development, mobile application development, API gateway management, chatbots, B2B/B2C integration platforms.
- Familiarity with business process mapping, optimization, design thinking, and practices involving customer journey and UX.
- Proficient in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Confluence, Jira Software, Kanban Boards).
- Proficient in project financials and expense management.
- Experience in enterprise environments with hybrid architectures and complex systems integration.
- Hands-on experience with Agile and waterfall delivery methodologies.
- Understanding of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery environments and change/version control processes.
- Working experience in a financial services industry or regulated industries is an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to present effectively to technical and business audiences.
- Strong negotiation, influencing, and problem-solving skills with ability to manage issues in dynamic environments.
- High integrity, accountability, and collaborative attitude, with adaptability to embrace change and drive improvements.
