Project Manager – IT (Financial Services)

Role Summary
This role is about leading multiple IT projects in the financial services/insurance domain.
You will manage project managers, ensure delivery, handle stakeholders, and make sure projects meet timelines, budget, and compliance requirements.
What You Will Do (Key Responsibilities)
1. Program & Team Leadership
- Manage multiple IT projects at the same time
- Lead and guide Project Managers and delivery teams
- Set governance, reporting, and delivery standards
2. Project Delivery
- Plan timelines, resources, budgets, and risks
- Track progress and fix delays/issues
- Work with cross-functional teams (Dev, QA, Infra, Vendors)
3. Stakeholder Management
- Act as main contact for senior leadership
- Share status, risks, and financial updates
- Coordinate with business, tech, compliance, and vendors
4. Risk & Compliance
- Manage risks and dependencies across projects
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations (AML, PCI-DSS, etc.)
- Maintain quality and security standards
5. Budget & Resource Management
- Handle budget planning and cost control
- Allocate resources across projects
- Manage vendors and contracts
MANDATE (Must-Have for the Role)
These are non-negotiable requirements:
- 15+ years in IT Project/Program Management
- Financial Services experience (Insurance Domain)
- Minimum 5 years in General or Motor Insurance domain
- Experience managing Project Managers (not just individual contributor)
- Handled large IT programs (team size 50+)
- Strong experience in end-to-end project delivery (planning to execution)
- Good understanding of SDLC (Agile / Waterfall / Hybrid)
- Stakeholder management at senior level
Good to Have:
- PMP / PRINCE2 / Agile certifications
- Experience with cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of microservices, APIs, DevOps, CI/CD
- Experience in application modernization / legacy transformation
