Location: KL Malaysia

Duration: 6 Months (Extendable)

Role Summary

The Senior Project Manager will lead the end-to-end delivery of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Copilot deployment initiatives across the organization. This role is responsible for managing complex, cross-functional programs involving collaboration tools, security, compliance, change management, and AI-enabled productivity solutions. The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business and governance Objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Program Delivery

Lead large-scale Microsoft 365 deployments (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Power Platform extra advantage if have) across multiple business units.

Manage Microsoft Copilot rollout initiatives, including readiness, licensing, governance, adoption, and value realization.

Own the full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, risk management, and closure.

Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, budgets, RAID logs, and status reporting.

Stakeholder & Governance Management

Engage senior stakeholders, business leaders, IT leadership, security, legal, compliance, and HR teams.

Act as the primary point of contact between business users, Microsoft partners, and internal technical teams.

Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, security standards, data privacy regulations, and AI governance frameworks.

Chair project steering committees and provide clear, executive-level updates.

Change, Adoption & Communications

Partner with change management and communications teams to drive user adoption of Microsoft 365 and Copilot.

Oversee training strategies, user enablement plans, and adoption metrics.

Manage organizational readiness for AI-assisted productivity and new ways of working.

Address resistance to change and ensure smooth transition to new tools and processes.

Risk, Security & Compliance

Identify and manage risks related to data protection, identity, information security, and regulatory compliance.

Ensure Copilot deployments comply with organizational data governance, sensitivity labeling, and access controls.

Coordinate security reviews, audits, and approvals related to cloud and AI services.

Vendor & Financial Management

Manage delivery partners, system integrators, and Microsoft vendors.

Track project financials, licensing costs, and resource utilization.

Ensure contracts, statements of work, and deliverables are met.

Required Skills & Experience

Project Management

8+ years of experience managing complex IT or digital transformation projects.

Proven experience delivering Microsoft 365 enterprise deployments.

Strong experience managing multi-workstream, cross-functional programs.

Expertise in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification preferred.

Microsoft 365 & Copilot Knowledge

Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 services (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, Power Platform).

Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot capabilities, licensing models, prerequisites, and limitations.

Familiarity with identity management (Entra ID/Azure AD), security, compliance, and information governance concepts.

Experience working with AI-enabled tools in an enterprise environment is a strong advantage.

Comfortable managing ambiguity, change, and emerging technologies such as AI.

Ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.

Nice-to-Have / Advantageous

Experience in regulated industries (utility company).

Exposure to Microsoft Purview, Defender, or data loss prevention (DLP) programs.

Experience delivering adoption or change management programs.

Experience working with global or regional rollouts.
