Objectives and scope of the job

As Senior Project Manager lead high complex development projects with potential Subproject Managers.

Responsible to define and achieve the project targets (business objectives, deadlines, budgets, KPI's, etc).

Own, drive and fully accountable for large-size projects, Platform project, or Customer projects.

Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Main tasks

Define and build-up winning project teams with the right mindset, the required cross-functional skill mix and complement it with capable external resources where needed.

Manage the planning, staffing and execution of project according to the applicable development processes.

Planning, monitoring, and reporting of complex multi -site projects with coordination of interfaces to related projects.

Ensures proactive and proper stakeholder management and communication to all levels incl. Management Board members.

Demonstrates clear leadership towards all management levels.

Interface and Coordination of team members across multiple locations.

Manage all activities to achieve the overall project targets including design transfer and industrialization.

Through leadership and methodological competence, ensure efficient implementation and adherence to processes, guidelines, and regulations.

Proactively anticipates, identifies, mitigates risks, and resolves conflicts in the project team and with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Cross-functional team leadership, incl. quality output of the team

Overall project planning & tracking: cost, schedule, requirements.

Aligning & achieving project targets (e.g. Business objectives, deadlines, budgets, cross-functional KPI's).

Completion of the developed product or solution or component including design transfer and final release.

Effective & efficient project organization according to the development model, including processes, SOPs, directives, guidelines.

Train and coach, the members of the project team and be a proponent of Project Management Excellence.

Proactively perform risk and change management and project trade-offs.

Timely and professional escalation to relevant decision boards.

Ensure ongoing updates and accuracy of the project business case.

Proactively provide support and/or solutions to other projects

Proactively request required information / education & training within the team

Communicate clear and detailed project status to stakeholders

Requirements/Skills/Competencies

Basic Education

- BSc, or MSc, preferably technical or life sciences

Further Education

- Relevant project mgmt. education

- Change Management and leadership training / education

Experience

- Project Management or equivalent

- > 6+y exp.

Language Skills

- Fluent in English

- Strong in presentation & communication

- Presenting a technical solution to a technical and non-technical audience

Technical Knowledge and Skills

Experience in leading highly regulated product development projects

Agile project management experience

Experience in automation

Physical Requirements - Ability to travel up to 20%
