Job Description

The Role:We are seeking an experienced Senior Purchaser with hands-on electronics sourcing expertise to join our team. In this role, you will independently manage key electronic component categories, ensuring supply continuity across active production and NPI programs. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Planning, and Operations to optimize cost, lead time, and risk management in a dynamic electronics-driven environment.

Note:

  • Mandarin language proficiency is mandatory.  
  • Only Malaysian and PR (Permanent Residents) candidates will be considered.  

What You'll Do:  

Own Key Electronics Categories: Manage sourcing of PCB/PCBA, semiconductors, ICs, connectors, and related assemblies.  

Navigate Supply Volatility: Monitor market signals, assess risks, and support mitigation during shortages or seasonal fluctuations.  

Execute with Technical Discipline: Validate BOM revisions, ensure AVL and ERP accuracy, and coordinate with Engineering during NPI and revisions.  

Manage Supplier Performance: Track delivery adherence, support supplier discussions, and escalate early risks to prevent disruptions.  

Contribute to Process Improvement: Identify recurring issues, suggest workflow enhancements, and support procurement best practices.

Requirements:  

  • 5–8 years of procurement experience in electronics or hardware manufacturing.  
  • Proven experience sourcing electronic components such as PCB, PCBA, semiconductors, ICs, and connectors.  
  • Strong understanding of industry dynamics like semiconductor cycles, seasonal shortages, and component lifecycle risks.  
  • Familiarity with BOM structures, revision control, and NPI processes.  
  • Experience working with EMS or contract manufacturers is a plus.  
  • Negotiation skills for pricing and delivery terms.  
  • Strong ERP discipline (NetSuite or similar preferred).  
  • Independent, resourceful, and capable of working with minimal supervision.  
  • Excellent communication skills across Engineering, Planning, and Operations.
