Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Purchaser with strong expertise in electronics sourcing to manage critical component categories and ensure supply continuity across production and NPI programs. The ideal candidate is independent, detail-oriented, and confident in navigating supply uncertainties in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities
Electronics Sourcing & Category Ownership
- Manage procurement of electronic components including PCB/PCBA, semiconductors, ICs, connectors, and assemblies
- Evaluate cost, MOQ, and lead-time trade-offs before purchase order commitments
- Identify and mitigate risks related to single sourcing and long lead-time components
Supply Risk & Market Monitoring
- Track market trends such as allocation cycles, lead-time fluctuations, and demand changes
- Align sourcing strategies with planning forecasts and business requirements
- Drive mitigation plans during supply shortages or constrained market conditions
Execution & Technical Alignment
- Validate BOMs, part numbers, and AVL compliance prior to PO release
- Maintain accurate ERP data (lead times, MOQs, supplier details)
- Collaborate with Engineering teams on NPI and revision changes
Supplier Management
- Monitor supplier performance including on-time delivery and adherence to lead times
- Lead supplier discussions to resolve performance issues
- Escalate risks proactively to avoid production disruptions
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in procurement workflows
- Improve data accuracy and execution discipline
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
Key Requirements
- 5–8 years of procurement experience in electronics or hardware manufacturing
- Hands-on experience sourcing electronic components (PCB, PCBA, semiconductors, ICs, connectors)
- Strong understanding of BOM structures, NPI processes, and revision control
- Familiarity with semiconductor market dynamics (allocation cycles, shortages, lifecycle risks)
- Experience working with EMS/contract manufacturers is an advantage
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite or similar preferred)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
Mandatory Requirement
- Fluency in Mandarin (spoken and written) is mandatory to manage suppliers and stakeholders across Mandarin-speaking regions
